Steps to become a BLS Instructor:

Have a current AHA BLS Provider certification

Complete instructor essential course

Attend the AHA Instructor Course and complete a monitored Teachback

As an AHA BLS Instructor, you'll be able to teach the following courses:

Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider

HeartSaver CPR/AED

HeartSaver First Aid CPR/AED

HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED

HeartSaver for K-12 Schools

HeartSaver First Aid Only

You will also be able to:

Teach BLS and HeartSaver courses at your place of employment or to the public

Ability to issue AHA certification cards to students (you set your own prices)
